Mentoring is a process of enhancement of trustworthy relationships based on caring, sharing, and encouraging the mentee's growth and their overall development. For mentees it is really very important to form a bond with mentor to get proper guidance to achieve their goals. The main responsibilities of a mentor are to reduce inhibitions in mentees, develop confidence, and guide about careeropportunities. The process allows mentors to recognize and promote the abilities of individuals with less exposure within the supporting organization. This can lead to a widening of talent and perspectives.

• The proctors and class teachers should conduct counseling sessions /meetings every week during the semesterfor students.
• The data of allotted students should collect and maintain in a proper format. It can be continued in the previous register.
• If any student created any problems, then the allotted student should be noted and taken to the concerned committee like ICC/ Ant ragging/Grievance committee for appropriate actions.
• The proctor shouldprovide guidance and counseling to the students for their careerpath and higher studies preparation from very beginning of the course of study.
• Should recognize irregular students and long absentees, Inform to their Parents/Guardians and called them to meet the mentors. Give some suggestions to develop the interest on studies to their wards.
• An accumulated action- report should be submitted at the end of the academic year to the Convener in a proper format.

• To provide guidance and counseling to the students on academic, career and personal matters by mentors on a consistent basis and to enhance the personality of the mentee.
• To maintain the accurate Counseling register.
• To maintain proper discipline among students through a specific and academic counselling in their four-year B.Tech. Program.
• To deliberate Course fundamentals and skills required for successful completion of their course of study.
• To conduct regular meetings and gatherings with their parents/guardians on academic and other issues.
• To maintain proper minutes of every meeting. Then it will be useful as a reference in the process of Counselling for various issues.
• To report the complaints by referring to the Committees concerned (ICC/ Anti-ragging/Grievance Committee) for proper actions.
